I’m Dayna Ritchey. I like to bake, and I like to share my thoughts. In this blog I’ll do a bit of both. My husband, our golden retriever and I just moved to Northwest Arkansas for my job. I’m a category manager for a huge consumer products company working with the biggest retailer in the world. It can get a little tense sometimes. So, I’ve turned to a passion I’ve had since I was a child . . . baking . . .and talking to myself. I figured I better start sharing both or I’m going to be too fat to fit in the straight jacket.
In this blog I want to share our experiences in the middle of the woods in AR along with some of my favorite recipes and baking experiences. I chose Baby Blue Bird’s Bakery for my title because my husband has a dozen nicknames for those he loves, and one he has for me is Baby Blue Bird. When we were dating, I fell and broke my arm and since then he talks about my broken “wing”. I’ve started teasing him about being a bald eagle (if you know him, you’ll think that’s funny). So welcome to our “nest”. I hope you’ll pull up a branch and stay for a while.
